Main Street Players presents ‘Whose Wives Are They Anyway?’

BELVIDERE, Ill. — Main Street Players of Boone County will present Whose Wives Are They Anyway? in two weekend performances, Feb. 10-12 and Feb. 17-19, at the Community Building Complex of Boone Countty, 111 W. First St., Belvidere.
Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10-11, the play will be presented at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. (no evening performance); and Sundays, Feb. 12 and 19, at 2 p.m.
This is a comedy recommended for mature audiences. Synopsis: After sending their wives away on a shopping trip, two executives for a cosmetic company gleefully go off on a weekend golfing spree, only to discover that the new lady CEO is also at the resort and assumes that their wives are with them. With true resourcefulness and absolute desperation, these two gentlemen embark on a chaotic adventure of assumed identities, cross-dressing and the unexpected arrival of the “real” wives.
Whose Wives Are They Anyway? is written by Michael Parker and directed by John Van Nest. Featured cast are Kim Hughart, Carol Hilliard, Denise Gorski, Gina Visser, Jen Thompson, Pete Gulatto, Keith Burritt and Ronn Gordon. The play is performed by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and older) and $5 for students.
