Elliot Golf Course open Feb. 19 and beyond, weather-permitting

Golfers have another opportunity to play on a Rockford Park District course in the middle of winter.
Weather-permitting, Elliot Golf Course, 888 S. Lyford Road, Cherry Valley, Ill., will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19.
Golf course staff will monitor course conditions daily, and as long as weather and course conditions permit, the course will remain open.

• 18-hole championship course
• 6,433 yards of rolling terrain, large trees and spacious greens
• Par 72 course
• Opened in 1968
• Named for Earl F. Elliot, a long-time director of the Rockford Park District
