Junior League’s rummage sale set for March 2-3

The Junior League of Rockford will host a rummage sale at The Lombardi Club, 209 Olive St., Rockford, with a special preview night from 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 2 ($5 admission) and the event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 3 ($2 admission).
Tickets are available in advance by contacting the Junior League of Rockford at (815) 399-4518 or by e-mailing jlrockford@jlrockford.org [1]. Tickets may also be purchased at the door of the event both days.
Junior League of Rockford members, friends and family have collected a huge amount of items for this rummage sale. Included will be clothing and accessories for babies, children, women and men; baby items and toys; housewares; furniture; electronics; outdoor items; sporting goods; holiday décor; a bake sale; and lots more! Drinks will be available for purchase. Cash is preferred for purchases, and credit cards will be accepted with a 5 percent surcharge. Checks will not be accepted.
All proceeds from the event will support the projects and programs of the Junior League of Rockford, including the current project Girls On Their Way Leadership Mentoring Program.
The Junior League of Rockford will host a retreat four times per year for girls, ages 9-13, focusing on leadership skills, self-esteem building activities, voluntarism and healthy lifestyles.
