Rockford Memorial named ‘Best Regional Hospital’

Rockford Memorial Hospital is the only local hospital to be named by national news magazine U.S. News & World Report to its list of “Best Regional Hospitals” for 2011-2012.
Rockford Memorial was recognized in six key medical specialties: neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, pulmonology, geriatrics and gastroenterology.
Of the country’s 5,000 hospitals, only 12 Illinois hospitals appear on the U.S. News & World Report’s “best regional hospitals” list with Rockford Memorial the only local provider to receive the recognition.
