Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra presents ‘Bach to the Future’ March 10

The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra will present “Bach to the Future” featuring Max Yount, harpsichordist, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10, at Eaton Chapel, 700 College St., Beloit, Wis. The orchestra will be conducted by Music Director Robert Tomaro.
Selections will be Concerto in E-flat, “Dumbarton Oaks” by Igor Stravinsky, Concerto Grosso by Ernest Bloch, and Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 by J. S. Bach.
“Dumbarton Oaks,” the jewel of Stravinsky’s middle period, is his lighthearted, tuneful homage to Mozart. It is paired here with Bach’s timeless Brandenburg No. 5, and the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra welcomes back to the stage Maestro Yount, one of our country’s premier harpsichordists.
