Rockford’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Party set for March 17

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is free to the public, will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at 501 Seventh St. (the former AMCORE building and new Rockford Public School District 205 Administration Building).

The parade route will follow Seventh Street north to State Street and proceed west to North Main Street, ending around 4:30 p.m. at Beattie Park on North Main.

Featured in the parade will be the City of Rockford Pipe Band, McNulty Irish Dancers, Highland Dancers, Girl Scouts, politicians and various floats.

Rockford’s Clock Tower Resort & Conference Center, 7801 E. State St., will host a St. Patrick’s Day Party beginning at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 17. The party will feature the City of Rockford Pipe Band, Scottish dancers, Mary Cate Ciochock and Clan, The Danny Boyz and Men of Our Times.
