Peyton Manning to sign with Broncos, Tim Tebow may be traded

Four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning is headed to the Denver Broncos, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on SportCenter March 19.
Numerous teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins, had been in the running for the 11-time Pro-Bowler.
Reports indicate Manning, 35, will likely sign a deal similar to the five-year, $90 million package he signed with the Colts July 30, 2011.
The Colts released Manning March 7. He missed the entire 2011 season after undergoing surgery on his neck May 23, 2011. The Colts finished 2-14 without Manning, and are expected to take Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick in the April 26-28 NFL Draft.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Denver may bring in Jeff Saturday, Manning’s long-time center in Indianapolis, and also look to trade their current quarterback, Tim Tebow.
Tebow won seven of the 11 games he started for the Broncos in 2011. He guided the team to an AFC West title in 2011 and a 29-23 overtime wild card playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Broncos lost to the New England Patriots 45-10 in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Manning guided the Colts to a 29-17 Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears in 2006 and a 31-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV in 2009. He ranks third all-time both in passing yards (54,828) and passing touchdowns (399), fifth all-time in completion percentage (64.9 percent) and sixth all-time in passer rating (94.9). He has a career 141-67 record as a starter in the regular season and guided the Colts to eight division titles during his 13 seasons as a starter with the team.
In 2010, Manning completed 66.3 percent of his passes and threw for 4,700 yards, 33 touchdowns and 17 interceptions while guiding the Colts to a 10-6 regular-season record. The Colts lost to the New York Jets 17-16 at home in the wild-card round of the playoffs that season.
