Nominations for AFP volunteer recognition due March 23

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Rockford Area Chapter invites the community to celebrate Rockford’s outstanding volunteers. Nominations are being sought to recognize individuals for their outstanding dedication and efforts to an organization as part of an “Honor Your Own” volunteer recognition event.

The AFP 2012 Honor Your Own nomination form is available at www.afprockford.org. Completed nomination forms are due Friday, March 23, to Michelle Gorham, Rockford Memorial Development Foundation, 2400 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103; Fax (815) 971-9141 or e-mail: mgorham@rhsnet.org.

The “Honor Your Own” volunteer recognition luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, at Cliffbreakers, 700 W. Riverside Blvd., Rockford. The cost to attend the lunch is $20; RSVP by April 10 to Michelle Gorham, Rockford Memorial Development Foundation, (815) 971-4143.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Rockford Area Chapter has 67 members representing area nonprofit organizations.
