Legally Speaking workshop will help nonprofit organizations navigate growing legal and regulatory environments

The Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE) at Rockford College presents Legally Speaking, “Information every nonprofit needs toknow.” The one-day workshop addresses topics of Employment Law for Nonprofits, Merger and Dissolutions Issues for Nonprofits, Key Tax Issues for Nonprofits, and Charitable and Planned Giving Issues.
Led by leading practitioners from Hinshaw & Culbertson and Sikich, the workshop will update you on laws, lessons learned, compliance issues, and challenges facing the nonprofit sector. This session will be held from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, at Regents Hall in the Rockford College Burpee Center, 5050 E. State St.
Cost to attend is $75 and includes lunch. Please register by 4 p.m., Friday, April 6, by contacting Karen Ream, NICNE Program and Membership coordinator, at (815) 394-4384 or e-mail KReam@rockford.edu [1].
