Puma Champions Cup soccer tournament returns to Rockford for 10th year April 13-15, 20-22

The first of two weekends of Puma Champions Cup soccer gets under way April 13-15 at both Sportscore 1, 200 S. Bell School Road, Rockford, and Sportscore 2, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park.
The annual soccer tournament will bring more than 525 teams from eight Midwestern states to the region. Two international teams will also arrive from Canada and Mexico.
The Puma Champions Cup will bring an estimated $1,581,660 in economic activity to the Rockford region. More than 23,000 people are expected to attend the tournament, which is the largest soccer tournament held in the Rockford region.
The first weekend will host competition among 13- to 19-year-old athletes, men’s and women’s division, and new this year, men’s over 35 division. The second weekend, April 20-22, will be an opportunity for mid- to lower-level boys’ and girls’ teams in the 8-15 age range to compete.

Games are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday of both weekends. Admission is free for spectators.
