National Day of Prayer celebrated at Memorial Hall May 3

The 61st Annual National Day of Prayer will be celebrated at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 3, at Memorial 211 N. Main St., Rockford.
The National Day of Prayer has been set aside as a time of calling on God for His help and blessing in our nation. The confirmed platform guests for this event include: Mayor Larry Morrissey; School Superintendent Dr. Robert Willis; Chief Judge Joe McGraw; Bill Roop, president of Alpine Bank; Dr. Ken Board, senior pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church; and the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church Choir.
