Community Foundation announces May 16 grant-seekers meeting

The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois will hold a grant-seekers meeting at 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, at the Foundation offices, 946 N. Second St., Rockford.
All not-for-profit organizations in the northern Illinois region, including Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties are encouraged to attend.
Highlights of the meeting will include information about the Community Foundation’s grant programs including the Community Arts and Humanities Fund, the Aldeen Christian Ministry Fund, the Community Needs Fund, the Jon W. Lundin Historic Preservation Fund, the Schneider Electric Buildings, LLC Charitable Fund, Dr. Louis and Violet Rubin Fund, and the United Cerebral Palsy of Blackhawk Region Endowment Fund. Attendees will learn about the Community Foundation’s grant programs and grant-writing tips.

Information and grant applications are available at the Community Foundation’s website, www.cfnil.org [2]. Applications open on May 15, and the deadline is July 15.
The Community Foundation’s mission is to attract, grow and preserve a permanent endowment for the immediate and future needs of the people of northern Illinois. The Foundation is the area’s largest provider of grants and scholarships.
