Pet adoption event at East State Valli Produce grand opening May 12

PAWS Humane Society, Friends Forever of Freeport, Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary and Winnebago County Animal Services (WCAS) will hold a pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at the grand opening of the Valli Produce, 5880 E. State St.
PAWS Humane Society will have their Mobile Adoption Vehicle (MAV) on site to do adoptions. Noah’s Ark, Friends Forever and WCAS will also be there adopting out animals.
“People can come visit our animals and also see animals outside the shelter setting,” said PAWS Director Luan Dean. “This allows for better interaction and hopefully ends up in adoption.”
The PAWS MAV has 17 cages, for both cats and dogs.
The event is being hosted by Purina.
PAWS Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to helping animals in need in the Winnebago and Boone county areas.
