20-year-old man dies after motorcycle collides with parked pickup truck

At 6:30 p.m., Sunday, May 13, Rockford police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Yonge Street regarding a personal injury accident. Upon arrival, officers located a motorcycle that collided with a parked pickup truck. The 20-year-old male driver of the motorcycle, Michael Naramore, was transported to a local hospital with critical head injuries. Naramore died at 1:18 p.m., Monday, May 14, as a result of his injuries.
Preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was following a go-cart west-bound in the 2800 block of Yonge Street. The go-cart, which was driven by a 32-year-old male, turned into a private driveway and was struck by the motorcycle. The motorcycle then lost control, striking the parked pickup truck.
The crash is still under investigation by the Rockford Police Traffic Unit.
