Police arrest two in May 11 shooting on West Riverside

Charles Cortez Stallworth, 18, of Rockford, and a 16-year-old male juvenile, also of Rockford, have been arrested in connection with a shooting in the 1900 block of West Riverside Boulevard.
The shooting occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m., Friday, May 11. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 16-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Stallworth and the juvenile have been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
