Police investigate May 11 shooting of 16-year-old in 1900 block of West Riverside

Shortly after 11:30 p.m., Friday, May 11, Rockford police responded to the 1900 block of West Riverside Boulevard in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, a 16-year-old male victim was located with a gunshot injury to the head. Rockford Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
