Riverside Community Bank announces expansion of Perryville Banking Center

Riverside Community Bank plans to expand its original banking office at 6855 E. Riverside Blvd. in Rockford — constructed in 1995 when the bank was chartered — by adding a 4,000-square-foot addition, increasing the size of the bank’s main office to nearly 12,000 square feet.

Rockford firm Cord Construction will serve as general contractor, with Larson and Darby Group as project architects.

The $1.8 million expansion will incorporate many “green” energy-efficient elements. It is expected the project will result in the creation of 18 new much-needed local construction jobs.

Significant core growth of clients over the years led Riverside Community Bank to add new lines of business in 2009, including Trust Services, Wealth Management and Private Banking. Those departments will join Riverside Community Bank’s Commercial, Consumer, Mortgage and Brokerage teams with headquarters at the newly-expanded and renovated Perryville office.

Ward expects the construction project to be completed by late fall.
