Rockford Lutheran’s Peyton Munch to attend Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. — Peyton Munch of Loves Park, Ill., has indicated her plans to attend Millikin University and play volleyball for Big Blue Head Coach Debbie Kiick. Munch plans to major in accounting at Millikin.
“Peyton will be one of the keys to the success of the future of our program,” said Kiick. “She is a strong front-row presence and has great club training. She is a terminator that knows how to mix up speeds and locations, but can also bury the ball. She is going to do good thing for us.”
Munch earned three varsity letters in volleyball at Rockford Lutheran High School. As a senior, Munch earned Northeastern Athletic Conference First Team honors after being named to the Second Team as a junior.
Munch was named the Subway Athlete of the Week in both her junior and senior seasons. She was her team’s captain as a senior, helping her team win the Northeastern Conference Tournament.
Munch has extensive club experience, most recently playing for the Fusion Club Volleyball 18 Navy team and helping them to a fifth-place finish in the Gold Bracket-18 Club at the JVA World Challenge in Houston.
Munch is a three-year Honor Roll student and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. She is the daughter of James and Lisa Munch of Loves Park.
In Decatur, Ill., Millikin University is one of the nation’s leading institutions of performance-based learning. Millikin is a private, residential university serving approximately 2,300 students in undergraduate and graduate programs offered during the day and evening.
