Millennium Fountain 2012 season

The Millennium Fountain began operation for the 2012 season on Memorial Day, May 28, and will run through Labor Day, Sept. 3.
The Millennium Fountain is operated and maintained by the City of Rockford Water Division, (815) 987-5700. The Rockford Park District maintains the grounds surrounding the fountain, (815) 987-8800. The fountain runs daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; however, wind gusts of around 15 mph will automatically turn the fountain off to avoid excessive overspray.
The Millennium Fountain is to be enjoyed by all citizens of Rockford. However, to ensure the safety of our citizens, we do not allow wading, bathing or climbing anywhere in, through, or around the fountain. (Ordinance No. 2001-197-0, Sec. 19-41)
