Magic Waters starts season with special party June 8

CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. — Magic Waters Waterpark, 7820 CherryVale N. Blvd., Cherry Valley, will host its first-ever Magic Waters Premiere Party from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 8.

Check out the “premiere” of the new Double Dare Drop speed slides. It’s the 2012 “premiere” of Friday Family Fun Nights with Radio Disney AM 1300, part of the No. 1 radio network for kids, tweens and families.

The Radio Disney AM 1300 Road Crew will help shake things up with a special Radio Disney Live appearance, giving fans a chance to get up close and personal with Disney Channel star Adam Irigoyen, who plays “Deuce” in Disney Channel’s hit series Shake It Up, and Radio Disney on-air personality Ernie D.

Those wishing to attend the meet and greet with Irigoyen must hae a wristband, available inside Magic Waters beginning at 1 p.m., while supplies last.

The Radio Disney AM 1300 Road Crew will also be on site with interactive entertainment and prizes.

Magic Waters & Aquatics Director Jessica Steinberg said: “We have never started a summer season this way before, but this exclusive party is the perfect way to open the park for the season. Those in attendance will not only be the first to try our amazing new thrill ride, Double Dare Drop, but guests will also have the chance to meet a Disney Channel star.”

Premiere Party highlights include the following:

Ride the new 75-foot Double Dare Drop Speed Slides;

Friday Family Fun Night with the Radio Disney Road Crew begins at 6 p.m.;

Meet and greet with Irigoyen and Ernie D from 7 to 9 p.m.;

Hang out with the Magic Waters Tiki Team;

Food specials all day long;

Music; and


In case of inclement weather, the meet and greet with Irigoyen will be at the Indoor Sports Center, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park, from 7 to 9 p.m. Magic Waters Waterpark admission ticket will be valid for any other day during the 2012 season.

Premiere Party tickets are $18.99 (general admission, resident), $23.99 (general admission, non-resident), $12.99 (shorter than 48 inches, resident), $16.99 (shorter than 48 inches, non-resident), $3.99 (ages 1-2, resident) and $4.99 (ages 1-2, non-resident).

Season pass holders are welcome to attend, and do not need to buy a special Premiere Party ticket. Season passes used June 8 will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached.
