Rockford man involved in May 29 motorcycle accident dies

Leroy McFadden, 34, of Rockford, was pronounced dead at Rockford Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit at 11:28 a.m., Monday, June 11. He was involved in a motorcycle versus vehicle accident Tuesday, May 29, at the intersection of North Rockton Avenue and Maple Street.

McFadden was riding the motorcycle at the time of the crash. There was no alcohol in his blood. However, marijuana was detected in McFadden’s system.

His death was the result of multiple blunt trauma caused by the motorcycle accident.

Rockford Police Department is investigating the accident.
