Tickets are available for “An Evening of Wine and Music,” a wine-tasting to benefit the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center. The event will be from 6:30 to 10 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at Anderson Japanese Gardens, 318 Spring Creek Road, Rockford.
The evening will include samples of fine wines from Heritage Wines, delicious appetizers from Mary’s Market, cash bar with craft beers, and live music throughout the gardens by Bad Chapeau, the Bella String Quartet, and Jim McElhaney and Friends.
Anderson Japanese Gardens, designed by Hoichi Kurisu in 1978 and developed into one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens in North America, will be open for guests to enjoy during the event.
