U of I Extension Ogle County hosts native plants program June 25

OREGON, Ill. — University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Miller will present a program about Landscaping with Native Plants from 6 to 7 p.m., June 25, at the Ogle County Extension Office, 421 W. Pines Road, Suite 10, Oregon, Ill.

Native plants can be an excellent addition to your home landscape, but there are certainly some tips and tricks for success.

In this hour-long program, Miller will teach the best native plants for use in the landscape and some basic maintenance tips, as well basic propagation techniques for starting your own plants and creating an attractive landscape with native plants.

University of Illinois Extension introduces Miller as the newest educator on their team. She recently received her master’s degree from the University of Illinois in agricultural education as well as a bachelor’s degree in horticulture. Candice will be serving the Boone, DeKalb and Ogle unit as well as the Jo Daviess, Stephenson and Winnebago unit of Extension.
