‘Into the Light: Illinois Glass’ exhibition opens at Rockford Art Museum

Rockford Art Museum (RAM) opens its latest exhibition, Into the Light: Illinois Glass, with a Members’ Preview Friday, June 22, and a free public opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 23.

Members’ Preview gallery walk will be at 5 p.m., followed by a reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m., June 22. The free public opening June 23 will feature a free gallery walk at 11 a.m. and a free children’s art activity at 11 a.m.

A free artist lecture with artist William Carlson will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16. The exhibition is on display through Oct. 21.

Organized by RAM, this exhibition is presented in conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of the U.S. Studio Glass Movement. For educational programming, log on to www.rockfordartmuseum.org.
