June 30 Rockin’ for a Cause to benefit Autism Society

LOVES PARK, Ill. — The Fourth Annual Rockin’ for a Cause Benefiting the Autism Society of Illinois will be from 1 to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at Neighbor’s Bar and Grill, 7745 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park.
Live music will feature Smokin’ Opies, Blues Hawks, The Clark Colborn Band, Chasing Mojo and Pistol Pete. A live after-party will feature a musical performance by The Poets Dance.
A poker run (more than 120-mile ride) starting and ending at Neighbor’s Bar and Grill will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost is $15 per bike/car and $5 per passenger. Entry fee includes ticket to concert.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and the music kicks off at 3 p.m. All ages are welcome until 10 p.m. Cover is $5, with proceeds going to the Autism Society of Illinois.
This is the fourth annual event, and last year’s event raked in $2,500 donated to the Autism Society. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair, as the concert is in the parking lot of Neighbor’s and seating could be limited.
