Lotteries to determine ballot position for two forest preserve district seats

Winnebago County Clerk Margie M. Mullins has announced two lotteries will be conducted to determine the ballot position for candidates running for two open seats on the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners.

One lottery will be held for the open full-term position and a separate lottery will be held for the unexpired two-year term seat.

The lotteries, which are open to the public, will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, in the County Clerk’s office, room 101, inside the Winnebago County Administration Building, 404 Elm St., Rockford.

According to Mullins, five candidates were in line at 8 a.m. on the first day of filing when the doors were opened.
