Garbage collection schedule changes because of Fourth of July

Garbage collection for City of Rockford residents for the week of July 2-6 will have an altered schedule because of the Fourth of July holiday. Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3, will be picked up as normal. Wednesday, there will be no pick-up. Garbage pick-up normally occurring on Wednesday and Thursday will be delayed one day until Thursday and Friday.

The Household Hazardous Waste Site at 3333 Kishwaukee St. was open for the weekend of July 1 and will be open the weekend of July 5-6.
