Police conducting enforcement zones

During the month of July, the Rockford Police Department will be conducting enforcement zones, saturation patrol and roadside safety checks throughout the city. Safety checks are being conducted to promote the safety of the motoring public and provide a deterrent for those who might violate the Illinois Vehicle Code. Officers will be concentrating on DUI, speed and seatbelt violations.

This announcement is to create public awareness and voluntary compliance.
