U of I Extension presents Native Plants program July 9
University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Candice Miller will present a program on Landscaping with Native Plants from 2-3 p.m., Monday, July 9, at the North Suburban Library, 6340 N. Second St.., Loves Park. Native plants can be an excellent addition to your home landscape, but there are certainly some tips and tricks for success. In this hour-long program, Miller will teach the best native plants for use in the landscape and some basic maintenance tips, as well as basic propagation techniques for starting your own plants and creating an attractive landscape with native plants. The cost is $5 per participant.
U of I Extension is pleased to introduce Candice Miller as the newest addition to their team of educators. Miller recently received her master’s degree in Agricultural Education, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, from the University of Illinois. She will be serving six northern Illinois counties including Winnebago, Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Ogle, Boone and DeKalb.
