New committee members needed for Walk To End Alzheimer’s

New committee members still are needed to help plan the 18th Annual Rock River Walk To End Alzheimer’s, to be held Sept. 22 at Lowell Park in Dixon.
“The annual event raises awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and funds for local programs and services,” said Central Illinois Chapter Walk Director Breeana Hill. “Joining this committee is a great way to become involved in the community and help in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!”
The next Rock River Walk Committee meeting will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 12 at the Alzheimer’s Association, Rock River Office, 93 S. Hennepin Ave., Dixon.
Walk To End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Committee members are asked to attend one-hour monthly meetings and assist in recruiting new teams and individual walkers, help with fund-raisers, plan logistics for the Walk, and help out on the day of the event.
