Intersection at Jefferson, Main to remain closed for two weeks

Starting today, Monday, July 16, the intersection of Jefferson Street and Main Street in downtown Rockford will be closed for sanitary sewer repair and maintenance by the Rock River Water Reclamation District.

The roadway closure began July 16 at 6 a.m. and the work is expected to take up to two weeks.

A detour is provided, but drivers are encouraged to consider an alternate route.
