Roscoe man killed in early-morning motorcycle accident

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. — Donald “Scott” Litton, 55, of Roscoe, Ill., died Tuesday, July 17, after he lost control of his motorcycle near Hawk’s View Family Restaurant, 11189 Forest Hills Road, and Irving Road in Machesney Park. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:17 a.m.

Although alcohol was involved in this accident, police are still investigating the cause of the crash. The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office announced it will conduct an autopsy July 17.
