‘Sploosh’ at Discovery Center July 20

Beat the heat and get a little wet Friday, July 20, at Rockford’s Discovery Center for “SPLOOSH.” The event, part of Discovery Center’s Family Friday series, will be from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Explore water balloon behavior and discover the science behind squirt guns during this wacky day when liquids take center stage. Experiment with drips and drops, create a physics water toy, mess with emulsions, learn to layer liquids, and get a real “feel” for viscosity.
Discovery Center Museum is inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main St., Rockford. General admission is $7 adults and children ages 2-17, and free to museum members and children age 1 and younger.
