The Fireside sets children’s auditions for ‘Scrooge The Musical’

FORT ATKINSON, Wis. — The Fireside Theatre is looking for energetic boys and girls, age 8-13 who can sing and act well for the production of Scrooge The Musical, a musical adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

The show runs Oct. 25-Dec. 23, 2012. Rehearsals begin Oct. 8. Two casts of nine children, five boys and four girls, are needed. All roles are paid. The theater especially needs one boy age 8-10 to play Tiny Tim, and one girl age 8-10 to play Kathy Cratchitt. Both must sing well and do a British accent.

Two auditions will be held: Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. at the Intercontinental Hotel, 130 E. Kilbourn Ave. in Milwaukee, and Wednesday, July 25 at 5 p.m. at The Fireside, 1131 Janesville Ave. in Fort Atkinson.

Auditioners should bring a photo (not to be returned) and a resume. They should prepare a Christmas song to sing and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be present. More information will be provided at the audition. For information or directions to the theater, call (800) 477-9505 or visit
