Online Staff Report
The Rockford Park District invites you to try out “Trolley to the Tropics,” a new way to experience two Rockford Park District attractions at a discounted price.
Take a ride on Trolley Car 36 and a tour of Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, and save more than 30 percent off admission to both attractions. Purchase “Trolley to the Tropics” tour packages at the Trolley Station, 324 N. Madison St., Rockford.
How it works
Trolley Car 36 departs at the tracks near the Trolley Station in Riverview Park along Madison Street, travels along the Rock River Recreation Path, and makes a stop for a brief visit at the Sinnissippi Rose Garden, Eclipse Lagoon and Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens. Riders will get back on board and continue to the Symbol before returning to the station. Show your “Trolley to the Tropics” ticket at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens for proof of paid admission.
