Park City Dental opens new office

Dr. Jason M. Grinter has announced the opening of Park City Dental, a new dental office in the 555 N. Court St. building, occupied by the Winnebago County Health Department and other tenants in Rockford.

Dr. Grinter has been an active part of the dental community in Rockford and Winnebago County since 2005 as former dental director for Milestone Dental Clinic. Milestone is a dental clinic specializing in the care of patients with special needs. Dr. Grinter is also on staff at SwedishAmerican Hospital, where he has provided dental care to pediatric and special needs adults who need their dental work performed in the operating room.

This past school year, Dr. Grinter’s Onsite Dental teamed up with Rockford Public Schools and the Winnebago County Health Department to bring dental care closer to the students in six schools: McIntosh Elementary, Barbour Language Academy, Kishwaukee Elementary, Hillman Elementary, Rockford Environmental Science Academy, Riverdahl Elementary, and this coming school year, he was asked to provide services for Jefferson High School.

Working with the Rockford schools was an extremely rewarding experience, and we had a great turnout this year,” Dr. Grinter said. “I’m looking forward to being able to offer my students an additional location to get their dental care treated so they can stay out of pain and stay in school.”

Dr. Grinter incorporated Onsite Dental in 2010 to offer more comprehensive-based care to the students in the schools he travels to with his team. Onsite Dental now provides care to more than 50 schools in five counties. Each school has the opportunity to plan a dental clinic day for follow-up care. Dr. Grinter treats the patients in the school or on the Ronald McDonald Caremobile through a collaboration with Rockford Health Systems. Now, students and families will have a permanent dental home at Park City Dental for continual care, even beyond the schools.

Park City Dental is planning to open Aug. 1. It will be a state-of-the-art office with four treatment rooms, each with a large color TV for patients to enjoy educational programming while being treated. The office will be completely digital and conveniently located inside the Winnebago County Health Department.
