Golf: MELD’s Sixth Annual Golf Play Day Aug. 16

Rockford MELD is hosting its Sixth Annual Golf Play Day, “Green and Bear It,” Thursday, Aug. 16, at Prairie View Golf Club in Byron, Ill. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.
Golf registration includes 18 holes of golf, green fees and cart fees, scramble format, course contest prizes and door prizes, 50/50 raffle, refreshments on course, auction of sports packages and miscellaneous gift baskets. Brat and burger dinner and awards immediately follow golf.
Early bird golf registrations fee is $85 for one golfer, $160 for two golfers and $300 for four golfers if registered by Aug. 9. After Aug. 9, fee is $85 per person — no twosome or foursome prices.
All proceeds from the “Green and Bear It” Golf Play Day will benefit MELD programs including MELD Young Moms and Dads Parenting and Support Groups, MELD Homeless Shelter and Transitional Living, Education and Employment Assistance Program for young families in the community.
