Ingersoll’s four-hole practice facility offers open practice times

Families with children of all ages can enjoy playing and practicing golf together at Rockford Park District’s Learning Links four-hole practice facility at Ingersoll Golf Course, 101 Daisyfield Road, Rockford.
The course features holes ranging from 60 to 105 yards, with open practice times from 1 to 5 p.m., Sundays, through early October.
Additional open times in the summer are 4-7 p.m., Wednesdays, through Aug. 15, and 9 a.m.-noon, Fridays, through Aug. 17.
Exceptions to open times are during official tournaments and lesson activities; call (815) 987-8834 to confirm hours.
Clubs in all sizes and golf balls are available to use free of charge at the facility. Admission fees are $1 for ages 17 and younger, and $3 for ages 18 and older ($1 if accompanied by youth ages 17 and younger). Park District golf permit holders are admitted free of charge.
