Plum River Playhouse holds auditions for ‘The Cemetery Club’ Aug. 13-14

STOCKTON, Ill. — Plum River Playhouse in Stockton, Ill., is holding auditions for Ivan Menchell’s delightful comedy The Cemetery Club.

Auditions are 7-9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 13-14, at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 N. Main St., Stockton.

The cast consists of one man and four women, all preferably older than 40. Stage management and light and sound technicians are also needed. Freda Weis is directing.

This show is about three widows trying to adjust to life without their husbands, and how their friendship is tested with the changes that occur.

Performance dates are Oct. 5-7 in Stockton, Oct. 12-13 in Hanover, Ill., and Oct. 19-21 in Orangeville, Ill. A script is available at the Stockton Public Library.
