Man sentenced to 10 years on drug charges

Rodrigo Gonzalez-Noveron, 28, pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections July 16 for the offenses of possession with intent to deliver and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
This offense was a result of a narcotics investigation conducted by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department. During the course of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at Gonzalez-Noveron’s residence in the 1400 block of Comanche Drive in Rockford.
The police seized a large quantity of cocaine and approximately 10,000 gross grams of cannabis.
Possession with intent to deliver more than 5,000 grams of cannabis and a possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, 15 to 100 grams of cocaine, are class X felonies punishable by six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
