Staff donate $40,000 for Crusader’s 40th anniversary
Crusader Community Health’s staff dedication goes beyond their care for our area’s medically underserved as they donated more than $40,000 to the Crusader Community Health Foundation in honor of Crusader’s 40th anniversary year.
Since 1972, Crusader has played an important role in the community by providing access to quality primary health care to those in need.
Crusader provides access to quality, affordable health care on a sliding discount basis and has seen its patient caseload continue to grow. During 2011, more than 44,000 individual patients were served.
Crusader is leading the way by improving the health status of many of our at-risk community members.
Gordon Eggers, president & CEO of Crusader Community Health, said: “We refer to Crusader’s wonderful staff as Team Crusader. Their great skills are matched by a healthy dose of mission-oriented generosity and belief in our patients.”
Donated funds will have an even greater impact as Crusader responds to the challenges of serving a growing patient population.
Crusader has several celebrations planned for its 40th anniversary including a donor reception Aug. 23, the “Fall into Fitness” family fun walk/5k run Sept. 22, and “Four Decades of Ahhs” celebration Oct. 19 at Giovanni’s.
