Road construction begins Aug. 27 on East State Street between Alpine and Mulford

Construction crews will begin making pavement repairs on East State Street between Alpine and Mulford roads Monday, Aug. 27. Work is expected to be completed by mid-September.

Drivers should expect lane closures as the contractor, Sjostrom & Sons, removes and replaces deteriorated sections of the pavement.

Two lanes of traffic in both directions will be maintained during daytime hours. At night, traffic will be restricted to one lane in both directions.

With limited nighttime visibility, drivers are asked to be extra alert when driving through the construction work.

The project will cost $77,827.
