Man sentenced to seven years for November 2011 armed robbery of J&J Still in South Beloit

David Cunningham, 29, has been sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for armed robbery.

Nov. 19, 2011, Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 1720 Shirland Ave. in South Beloit, to the J&J Still, for an in-progress armed robbery. It was reported the suspect had entered the bar and stole U.S. currency from the bar. When the suspect was confronted by a customer, the suspect pulled out a weapon and threatened the customer, and fled the scene. The suspect was identified as Cunningham.

Armed robbery is a class X felony with a sentencing range of six to 30 years in the Department of Corrections, followed by three years mandatory supervised release.
