Two face drug charges, another arrested after search of 16th Avenue residence

Members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit received complaints from concerned citizens about drug activity at 1114 16th Ave., Rockford.
An investigation was started and, as a result, the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant Aug. 23.
Numerous adult males and females were located inside the residence. Detectives recovered several individually wrapped baggies of suspected cocaine along with suspected cannabis and United States currency. Two adult males were charged with drug violations and a female was arrested after it was learned she was wanted on two Rockford failure to appear warrants. The other individuals were released and not charged.
Thomas L. Simpson, 32, of Rockford, faces charges of possession with intent to deliver 1-15 grams of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. No bond has been set.
Pierre L. Pertiller, 27, of Rockford, faces charges of possession of 2.5-10 grams of cannabis. Bond has been set at $1,000.
Jenna M. Benoit, 38, of Rockford, has been arrested on two Rockford failure to appear warrants.
