DEKALB, Ill. — Performance and modeling team Wooden Box Theater will present a Charlie’s Angels-themed modeling expo at The Ellwood House Visitors Center in DeKalb at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5.
The expo will include a presentation of live theater, fashion modeling and live music in “Charlie’s Angels: A DeKalb Modeling Expo.” Admission is $5.
A group of more than 20 area runway and print models will be showcased in the event, along with four live music groups and an array of area businesses.
The Charlies Angels-themed night will also feature a reunion and special tribute to “Borders Nite Out,” a series of music and author events previously held inside Borders, which closed in March 2011.
The Ellwood House event will serve to celebrate Wooden Box Theater’s four-year anniversary of organizing and directing area fashion events in both Sycamore and DeKalb, as well as in Chicago.
Live music bill be presented by The Bill Leighly Band, Daerielle “Aura Weaver” Culver, Ricardo Galindo of the band Not Elliot, and Mitch Munns with Rachael Cozzola.
Special local vendors will include Meagen Lee Floral, “A Beautiful Party” art by Ann Flowers, Cracker Jax, Carly Jo Bows by Lisa Kammes and Divine Science “Handmade Jewelry by Emily Mayberry and Alyssa Malenke,” as well as photography on display by Angelica Nancy Photography and Aesthetic Pitch Photography and an appearance by Sharpie Artist Justin McAllister.
A special Borders Nite Out display will also be available with memorabilia and original event posters from the two-year run of the event series.
