Crusader’s ‘Fall Into Fitness’ 5K run/family fun walk Sept. 22

In honor of its 40th anniversary year, Crusader Community Health will hold the “Fall into Fitness” 5K run/family fun walk from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Fairgrounds Park Pavilion, Rockford.
The event is designed to encourage the community to embrace a healthier lifestyle. Area community booths will provide healthful tips and information to promote healthy living. Participants have a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.
The 5K run starts at 9 a.m. and starts and ends at Fairgrounds Park. Race is chip-timed and awards are offered for the top three male and female runners by age groupings. The $25 registration fee includes T-shirt, refreshments, goody bag and prizes.
The Family Fun Walk begins at 9:30 a.m. around the track at Fairgrounds Park. Perfect for kids, grandparents, moms and dads. Run, walk, skip or jump for one, two or three laps.
