Man sentenced to six years for possession with intent to deliver controlled substance

Mathew H.J. Polanco, 22, pled guilty Sept. 10 and was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (class 1 felony).
March 6, Polanco was arrested on a warrant and Rockford police recovered a quantity of crack cocaine of 47 individually wrapped clear plastic baggies along with $895 in cash in Polanco’s Rockford residence.
Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, 1-15 grams of cocaine, is a class 1 felony punishable by four to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with two years mandatory supervised release.
