Half Marathon returns to Janesville Sept. 15

The River to Ridge Half Marathan 10K and 5K Half Marathon will return to Janesville, Wis.It begins at 7 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, at Riverside Park. You can register on race day or online at www.active.com. This is the Second Annual Half Marathon, to be run through Arbor Ridge Subdivision. Pickup will be at Riverside Park from 4-9 p.m., Sept .14, also on race morning at 5:30 a.m. Directions: go east on Washington to Parkside Drive; it turns into Riverside Park Road; the park is at the end by the river.

Bruce Thoms, coordinator, said, “We have sponsors for several items that we pay for, and the registration fee depends on the race they enter. Fees are $65 for the half marathon, $30 for the 10K, and $25 for the 5K. There are age group awards from age 8 to 70 or older in five-year increments. We will have overall male and female winners for the half marathon and for the 10K.”
