Park District’s indoor swimming lessons begin Sept. 17

Rockford Park District will again hold indoor swimming lessons for ages 5-17 at Rolling Green School, 3615 W. Gate Pkwy., Rockford, where children and youth can gain the benefits of exercise while learning a lifelong leisure skill in a positive, fun environment.

Registration is under way for eight-week sessions that begin Monday, Sept. 17 and Thursday, Sept. 20, as well as for winter lessons starting in January 2013 (Wednesdays or Thursdays); lessons meet once a week for 45 minutes.

The per session fee is $75 ($85 non-resident), and participants will receive one free 2013 day admission to Magic Waters and five free admissions for 2013 public swim sessions at Alpine or Sand Park pools.

Fee assistance is available to eligible residents for this program.
