Rockford man charged with Sept. 6 Parliament Place burglary

Kenneth D.S. Stephens, 35, of Rockford, has been arrested and charged with the Sept. 6 burglary of a home in the 5100 block of Parliament Place in Rockford.

Shortly before 7 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, Rockford police responded to an address in the 5100 block of Parliament Place in reference to a burglary. Officers were advised the homeowners confronted a suspect inside their residence. The suspect fled from the residence with items taken from their home. One of the residents chased the suspect a short distance.

Stephens was taken into custody Sept. 12 after a warrant was obtained for his arrest. He is being held at Winnebago County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
